Spring Pictures (also known as “Fun Pictures) will take place on March 12th, 2020. Feel free to complete the order form and send it back with your student on Thursday, March 12 or complete the order online at schoolpictures.com and use the access code “AA5301”. Attached to the Picture Fun Day order form is an order form for the 2019-2020 Salem Yearbook. Please send in yearbook orders separate from your Picture Fun Day order. Again, we will not sell yearbooks out of the office after they arrive, we are only ordering yearbooks for those that have prepurchased. All orders must be received by Thursday, March 12, 2020.
Wish List
If you're ever out shopping, and would like to donate something to our classroom, check out our "Wish List" tab. Right now, our class is in need of black thick dry erase markers, and plastic sleeves (for a binder). I appreciate your support:)
March is Reading Month
March is Reading Month will soon begin! This year's theme is #MIcoyotes Booking Across Michigan. There is some important information coming home today about activities and events that will be happening at Salem (i.e. assembly, Reading Night, Book Fair, etc.). Be sure to read through it carefully (somethings have changed from last year) and keep it in a special place to reference during the month of March.
In addition to everything schoolwide, I will also be having a few special activities in our classroom. One such activity is inviting Mystery Readers into our classroom to read a story or two to the class. If you would like to come in to read, please sign up at the link below:

Another activity we will be having EVERY Friday, starting March 6th is Flashlight Friday! Students will read in the dark with their flashlight:) Please make sure that your child's flashlight is labeled with their name.
Later on in the month, I will also be hosting a book swap. Students will be able to bring in a couple of books that they don't want anymore, and swap them for some other student books. I will let you know the date when I figure it out, but for now, your child can start looking through their shelves to see what they want to swap:)
